Please join us on Thursday the 6th of November for an afternoon of topical content on pasture seed and lamb/beef market insights. The afternoon will consist of 3 different paddock walks and 2 sessions with Simon Quilty giving updates on current meat market forecasts.
Paddock walks:
- Hay blend comparison: Looking at dry matter and quality
- Wintermix
- Ryegrass, clovers & cereals
- Oats & Vetch
- Lucerne over sow demonstration: We are looking at options for bulking up thinning lucerne stands for grazing or hay. Italian Ryegrass has been the standard practice, we are looking into Prairie Grass/ Grazing Bromes and how they compare in terms of both production and persistence.
- Annual/Italian Ryegrass demonstration:
- Comparing the dry matter yields and quality
- Looking at annual vs Italian and Diploid vs Tetraploid
Simon has worked global protein space for nearly 30 years. This will be a unique opportunity to hear from and ask questions to one of Australia’s leading meat market analysts in an intimate group setting.
