Naracoorte Seeds held their Field Day on Thursday the 28th of October 2021. Up to 100 farmers and agriculture industry representatives listened to trial results, guest speakers, and discussed their experiences whilst watching the rain come down outside the tent. The weather kindly let a gap in the rain for everyone to get out and have a look through all the trials and hear about each variety before returning to the tent for a bbq and refreshments as the rain returned.
We must thank Castec Rural Supplies Naracoorte and Seed Force who were the sponsors of the day. We were also lucky enough to have Nufarm, in conjunction with Castec Rural Supplies Naracoorte, run a herbicide trial on our newly sown perennial pasture with chicory, clovers and medic. We would like to thank David Keetch and Steve Manning from Nufarm for running this trial and to Dave for talking to us about Thistrol Gold and the results from their trial.
We would also like to thank Rob Alexander from Incitec Pivot Fertilisers for chatting to everyone about the current fertiliser market and the forecast and expectations leading into the 2022 season.
